
Truth commercials, anti-smoking campaigns and great financial efforts by Philip Morris USA, have lead to an 80% increase in the numbers of smokers. This increase is very interesting because even though cigarette commercials and ads are not allowed anymore, there are more smokers. Well, Camel uses genius marketing techniques to make up for the pseudo efforts to stop people from smoking.
Is seems like the Surgeon’s General Warning is no match for a colorful box filled with twenty cigarettes that taste like fruit. They taste like candy and don’t have any calories and suppress hunger, why the hell would anyone want to go on a diet or start working out? A cigarette brings friends together, usually outside; it is a means to make friends and to meet new people, perfect for parties and a universal symbol of stress relief. Yes it contains carbon monoxide, nicotine and tar but the benefits exceed the cost and most people don’t know what carbon monoxide is or what it does, who cares what it does to you when you live life in the moment and why should anyone be afraid of any cancer that can be caused by smoking until they get it? Mouth cancer? Have you ever met anyone with mouth cancer? Let’s be honest out of the people that you know that smoke, how many people do you know that died of smoking related cancer, maybe one or two close family members but one person’s struggle with a terminal illness is not your struggle.
