Unprepared and showing very little skill in defending himself, Alberto Gonzales was served to the Senate Judiciary Committee of Thursday. Exhibiting a laughable defense, his statements were childish to say the least. Trying to avoid questions and responding "I don't know." to the majority of the questions, one can only wonder if he purposefully performed so poorly, maybe to protect other individuals (Rove) that could also be implicated in the firings of the eight US attorneys.
Unfortunately this whole situation smells worse than it looks and it appears that Gonzales will take the fall this time.
